A beautiful vintage Portuguese faience ashtray from Coimbra, hand-painted with a striking cobalt blue floral centre, colourful leafy border and warm yellow rim. The underside is marked “Motivo Azul / Coimbra / Portugal”.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, with only light signs of use and minor age-related wear, mainly to the rim. Decorative and full of character, it works beautifully as an ashtray, trinket dish or small display piece.
