A charming pair of small cream ceramic vases from the 1950s, sourced from a manor house, decorated with applied roses, tiny blossoms and coloured leaves. Ornate gilt handles and pointed, petal-shaped rims give these pieces a distinctive silhouette, while their rounded bodies bring balance to the intricate floral decoration.
At 11 cm high, they make an attractive matched display on a shelf, dressing table or mantelpiece. The reverse is more simply decorated, showing the soft cream glaze and sculptural form.
In good condition according to the inventory, with visible wear to the gilt decoration and surface marks. Please examine the photographs for details of the delicate applied flowers and rims. The maker has not been established.
