A compact Portuguese Roman Missal (1932, 2nd edition) in black leather with gilt detailing and richly patterned endpapers—an authentic, pre-Vatican II devotional book with wonderful presence for collectors and interiors alike.

SKU: L03 Categories: ,

A charming, pocket-sized piece of Portuguese Catholic history: Missal Romano Quotidiano, a daily Roman Missal translated from the Missale Romanum and extracted from the “Missal dos Fiéis” by Monsenhor Freitas Barros. This is the 2nd edition, dated MCMXXXII (1932), with 990 pages—a beautifully made book intended for everyday devotion.

Bound in black leather with gilt titling and decorative details, it opens to striking red endpapers with green and gold patterning, framed by elegant gilt borders. The small format makes it easy to hold, while the workmanship (including gilded accents and a ribbon marker) reflects the quality typical of early-20th-century religious publishing.

Condition: Very good for age and use, with light, honest wear consistent with careful handling over time.
