Elegant and richly detailed, this vintage silver-plated lidded box brings instant “old world” charm to a console table, vanity, or tea tray. The faceted body is decorated with ornate etched motifs—scrolls, florals and paisley-like panels—creating a beautiful play of light across the surface.
The hinged lid is topped with a sculptural pineapple/pinecone finial (a classic symbol of hospitality), making it as decorative as it is practical. Originally the form is often associated with covered sugar bowls and tea-table containers, but it’s equally perfect as a trinket or jewellery box, for keepsakes, cotton pads, or small desk essentials.
