A charming pair of antique miniature hand-painted ceramic dishes, probably Chinese export-style porcelain, decorated with delicate floral sprays, leafy branches and small birds in soft famille-rose tones of pink, red, green, grey and blue.
Each little dish has a softly rounded form, a raised foot ring and a small blue mark to the underside. Their scale makes them especially appealing as cabinet pieces, doll’s house display ceramics, collector’s miniatures or decorative accents for a brocante-inspired interior.
This pair comes from an old Portuguese manor house and carries the quiet charm of objects collected and kept over generations. One dish is in very good condition; the other has a visible hairline crack and a small chip, both reflected in the price. Due to age and condition, they are recommended for decorative use only.
