Refined 18th-century medallion brooch in silver-fronted, gold-backed construction (the classic silver-topped-gold of the period). The jewel is pavé-set with 41 stones arranged in scrolling foliage and rosettes. The centre stone (~5 mm) tests as moissanite—almost certainly a later replacement—while the surrounding stones are diamonds in mixed early cuts: 2 × 3 mm, 6 × 2 mm, 32 × 1 mm.
Unmarked, as is typical for the era. Excellent antique condition.
