Eight antique brass (copper-alloy) metric weights, late-19th to early-20th century.
A neat, well-matched group for a small balance—ideal for styling or a working collection. The set comprises three 20 g, two 10 g, one 5 g and two 2 g weights. Warm aged patina with the expected light marks from use; no modern replacements. I have weighed each piece on a modern digital scale and the readings are accurate to their marked values (allowing for the normal minor tolerances found in antique weights).

Approx. sizes
• 20 g (x3): height 2.1 cm, dia. 1.8 cm
• 10 g (x2): height 1.6 cm, dia. 1.0 cm

• 2 g (x2): height 0.6 cm, dia. 0.8 cm

Why we love them
Made after the adoption of the metric system, these compact brass weights speak to the era of chemists, grocers and jewellers weighing by hand—wonderful as shelf curios, studio props or to complete a vintage balance. Cleaned only lightly to preserve the surface.

Condition: vintage wear, minor nicks and tarnish consistent with age. Sold as decorative/collectable items; not certified or calibrated for commercial trade use.
