A refined antique medallion brooch in the classic silver-fronted, gold-backed construction. The design is arranged in delicate scrolls and rosettes and set with 14 stones: one approx. 3 mm, twelve approx. 1 mm (plus a tiny accent).
The stones did not test as diamond at a jeweller, which is common in antique pieces where white pastes/rock crystal/white sapphire were used to emulate diamonds. Given the age and workmanship, the brooch remains a high-quality jewel with beautiful period sparkle. Unmarked, excellent condition.
